Quick Quilting in a day
Create a quilt in a day using strip quilting and other speed techniques. The innovative machine sewing and cutting methods are simple enough for a beginner yet precise enough for the most seasoned of quilters. Using fabric remnants you can make a quilt to be proud of without the frustration of the amount of time it traditionally takes to complete.
Course content
Using a sewing machine, students will learn how to make different designs of quilts using modern cutting and speed techniques. With this method you can make, in a day, a beautiful quilt that looks as though you have spent an enormous amount of time creating it and using fabric remnants means that it is low cost to produce. You will learn how to: • Cut and sew pieces of fabric together to form blocks of pattern. • Join these blocks together to make your quilt. • Create a border. • Add wadding and lining. • Machine top stitch your quilt to give it that authentic look. A quilt that you can treasure and the knowledge to experiment with different fabrics and designs at home. |

Lunch and refreshments A complimentary light buffet lunch is included. Hot drinks may be purchased in the foyer, so please bring some small change with you. Due to Health and Safety regulations we are unable to allow drinks into the classrooms. Unfortunately we are unable to cater for special diets. |
