Dancing on air
Talented Sandiway student Elinor Lewis is dancing on air after being selected from thousands of young hopefuls to win a prestigious place at the Laban Centre, in London.
Elinor, who is currently studying A Level dance at Sir John Deane’s College, had to go through three 90-minute audition classes before being offered a place to study a degree in Dance there next year.
Tracey Chambers, Dance Tutor at Sir John Deane’s College, said: “We are very proud of Elinor – she works so hard and absolutely deserves her place. This is a prestigious Dance college, which only takes the most talented of young dancers, so she has done extremely well to get in.”
Elinor, who lives in Weaverham Road, Sandiway, has been dancing since she was just three years old and trained with Vanda Kinder-Berry before studying A Level dance at SJD’s.
