Swimming champions
FOUR swimmers from Sir John Deane’s College have triumphed in the regional heats of the English Schools Swimming Association competition, held in Everton.
Joanna Waterman, Charlotte Carter, Caitlin McNicholas and Georgia Kirkham were the SJD team who took first place in the 200m medley and 200m freestyle relay.
The gold medallists beat 16 other schools and college teams taking part in the gala and will now compete in the National Finals, in Southampton, in November.
