Atmospheric Watercolour Landscapes
The course will allow the student to experiment and develop their skills in water colour painting. There will be step by step demonstrations of painting techniques to produce atmospheric creative effects. There will be advice and guidance and also practical session activity where the learner experiment with Water colour techniques. The session will include winter landscapes capturing atmospheric and weather conditions. Learners will go home with 2 landscape paintings and a range of painted samples to use for future reference. Demonstrations will include - • Advice on brushes, paints, watercolour paper and materials • Mixing paints and colours • Creative watercolour techniques • How to paint atmospheric effects and weather conditions with - Wet into wet - Backruns - negative painting - Lifting out paint with a brush - Splattering • Landscape painting demonstrations |

Materials Required
• Pad of water colour paper minimum A4 size or at least 2 sheets of water colour paper. 90 gms or 300 gms in weight. • Wooden board to attach your paper to for stability when painting. • Number 9 or number 10 brush • Rigger brush • !/2 inch flat brush • Mixing palette or an old plate • Jam jar • Pencil & rubber • Box of water colour paints with basic colours. • Kitchen roll • Craft knife • Masking tape • Trainer will supply other materials used in the demonstrations for students to use. |
| Lunch and refreshments A complimentary light buffet lunch is included. Hot drinks may be purchased from in the foyer, so please bring some small change with you. Due to Health and Safety regulations we are unable to allow drinks into the classrooms. Unfortunately we are unable to cater for special diets. |
