Bridge for Beginners - Unit 2 and Unit 5

 

Bridge is a rapidly growing pastime that can be enjoyed by colleagues, couples, families, friends, groups and individuals.  It is possible to play bridge online, but many will enjoy the game in social settings and in local clubs.  Once basic aspects are mastered, there will be practice time available to play and learn in order to develop and improve skills.
 
By following the six-term programme, students will have an opportunity to learn Standard English Modern Acol Bridge in greater detail.  Please note that both ten-week courses are suitable for those returning to bridge or wishing to brush-up on their skills.

 

Unit 2 (Year 1 - second term):  covers opening and responding to 1♣, 1♦, 1♥ and 1♠.  Although raw beginners could start with this unit, it may be more beneficial if students have an understanding of opening and responding to One No Trump.
