"Before I came to Sir John Deane’s College I had a very set view of the process of Theatre and fixed opinions of different genres and styles. Now thanks to A Level Theatre Studies I have a much broader knowledge of all variations of Theatre and the challenges that it presents. Similarly I have been able to develop other skills in devising, directing and script writing. It is thanks to this course that I had the necessary knowledge to apply for multiple different courses at university, from Musical Theatre to Contemporary Theatre Practice."
Sir John Deane’s College’s exam league table success
Sir John Deane’s College’s exam league table success is due to be featured in this week’s local Guardian newspaper.
The college has been ranked as Cheshire’s top state sector A Level provider – and has also maintained its unbroken record of being placed in the top 10 Sixth Form Colleges in the national league tables.
SJD Principal Andrew Jones said: “This is a fine result for Sir John Deane’s College and underlines our position as one of the country’s leading Sixth Form Colleges.
“We are extremely pleased for last year’s students, who thoroughly deserved the success they achieved, and of course for our staff who have once again provided excellent teaching and support. Together, they have successfully upheld the SJD tradition for quality education and strong academic standards that spans across many generations of local people.”
