Please note that these classes are held in Art Studios and therefore suitable clothing is advisable.
 
Course Content
Explore the wonderful possibilities of acrylics.  Instruction in techniques, colour theory and composition will inspire beginners and more experienced painters.  Tuition will be tailored to both beginners and those with a little experience.

Tuition in the morning will include:
Demonstrations in various acrylic painting techniques,
composing a picture and colour mixing. During the late morning
and afternoon session you will be guided and helped to paint
your own picture.
 

 
Materials Required
• A basic set of acrylic paints (red, yellow, blue, brown, white, black)
• A pad of acrylic paper no smaller than A4.
• A drawing board or small piece of hardboard would be useful but not essential.
• Acrylic paint brushes (suggestion, eg. size 6, 4 and 2). You may have other brushes, that will be suitable, eg. nylon, hog hair or synthetic hair, so please bring those too.
• An old plate, dish, or piece of melamine for mixing paints on, a plastic pot as a water container.
• A pencil and rubber, kitchen paper or paper tissues for cleaning and drying brushes, some masking tape may also be useful.
 
Lunch & refreshments
A complimentary light buffet lunch is included and hot drinks are provided at this time. Hot & cold drinks may be purchased from the machines in the canteen, which can be consumed there or in the foyer, so please bring some small change with you. Due to Health & Safety regulations we are unable to allow hot drinks into the classroom. Unfortunately we are unable to cater for special diets.
