Emergency First Aid – One Day Course

Course content
This course is aimed at giving individuals a basic knowledge of First Aid giving them the confidence to take charge in an emergency situation. The course is aimed at any employee who is to be appointed Person in the workplace to help the employer meet their duty under the Health and Safety First Aid Regulations.
The course has a practical emphasis, to give students the opportunity to gain hands on experience in simulated situations.
 
Course Outcome
By the end of the course you will have covered the following:-
• Principles of First Aid
• Resuscitation
• Recovery Position
• Recording Accidents
• Blood Loss
• Fractures and Soft Tissue Injury
• Burns and Scalds
• Shock
• Cause of Unconsciousness
 
Prerequisites
No prior knowledge is required.
 

Lunch & refreshments
A complimentary light buffet lunch is included and hot and cold drinks are provided with lunch.  Due to Health and Safety regulations we are unable to provide drinks in the classrooms but you may purchase them from the machines in the foyer which can be consumed there, so please bring some small change with you. Unfortunately we are unable to cater for special diets.
