Important information for Students Travelling to College from Cheshire East
Cheshire East Council has now confirmed that as part of its cost saving measures it will not be providing post 16 transport from September 2012.

Following this decision, Sir John Deane’s College is currently working with Mid-Cheshire College to identify where there is likely to be a gap in the available commercial transport options with a view to providing shared bus services that will enable as many students as possible to travel to both colleges from September.

At this stage unfortunately we cannot give firm routes and costs but we will publish this information on our website as soon as we can, although this is unlikely to be before the last week of June. In the meantime if you are likely to be affected by the withdrawal of the current transport arrangements please get in touch with Andrea Moores on 01606 810037 to let her know where you will be travelling from. This will help us to plan the routes for the alternative bus services and will also mean that we can get in touch with you directly as soon as we have firm information.

Those students who have been offered a place at Sir John Deane’s for 2012/13 will receive an invitation to an Open Evening on Thursday 28 June by which time we hope to have further information available and be able to answer any queries you may have.
