Course Fees

Course Fees:  Fees for short courses (14 weeks or less) must be paid in full at the time of enrollment  you can pay by cash, cheque, credit or debit card (excluding American Express or Diners Club).

Fees for long courses (15 weeks or more) can be paid in full at the time of enrolment or as 50% at enrolment and 50% post-dated.

Fee Remission:  If you are in receipt of full state benefits you may be entitled to full or partial fee remission of tution fees on some courses (valid evidence is required at enrolment).  Further details can be obtained from the Adult Education department.  LSC funded courses are free to all 16 - 18 year olds.  There is no fee remission on dance, exercise, one or two day Saturday courses, self defence, singing or youth classes. Please telephone to check your remission entitlement.  There is no remission for examination fees.

Evidence required:  Benefit book or signed letter or statements from the Benefits Agency, Inland Revenue or Council Tax Office.  Evidence of eligibility for fee remission must be produced at the time of enrolment.

Remission may also be available to:

• Asylum Seekers in receipt of income based benefits
• Unwaged dependants of someone in one of the above categories.

A registration fee of £20 per course is incorporated into all course fees.  This fee will be charged to all part-time students including those who qualify for full remission of tuition fees.

Course cancellation:  Refunds cannot be given once a student has enrolled on a course except in exceptional circumstances. Please check on the suitability of the course prior to enrolment. Fees will be automatically refunded in the event that the College either does not run a course or is forced to close a course part way through.

Courses with fewer than the relevant minimum number of students may, at the discretion of the College, have the option of continuing, on payment of a supplementary fee.
