"Applied Science is now one of my favourite subjects. It requires a large amount of coursework, but because of how supportive and helpful the subject tutors are, it makes it a lot less challenging and more enjoyable. I would really recommend this subject to those who enjoy science but are not so confident in examinations."

Book your place on the half term Sports Activity Club

HALF term promises to be full of fun at Sir John Deane’s Leisure Centre, in Northwich.

Staff there will be holding another of its popular holiday sports activity clubs from Monday, October 26 to Friday, October 30.

The club is open to children aged from six years to 12 years.

Lesley McLaughlin, SJD Leisure Centre Manager, said: “The October half term is already coming up and we are really looking forward to having a great time with the children.

“Parents can feel secure in the knowledge that SJD is a great place for children to have fun and enjoy themselves – we’ve got lots of activities planned.”

Children are welcome for one day…or the whole week.

The club runs from 9am to 4pm, but there are additional sessions, from 8.15am to 9am, and from 4pm to 6pm, for parents who are working.

The day includes a wide range of sports and games activities, as well as a free swim.

To reserve a place ring the Leisure Centre on 01606 353930.
