Theatre Studies visit to Liverpool Playhouse

Liverpool Playhouse

Year 13 students recently travelled to the Liverpool Playhouse to see a production of ‘People, Places and Things’ as part of their A Level Theatre Studies course.

The production, originally staged by the National Theatre in association with Headlong theatre company, was a moving and powerful exploration of a woman’s battle with drug and alcohol dependency and made innovative use of set, lighting and sound to immerse the audience in her experiences.

Students will use the production as inspiration for their own devised work, as well as preparing to write about it in their summer examination.
