Sir John Deane’s celebrated the success of its Year 12 students during the annual Awards Evening on Thursday 20th June.

More than 80 students, from some 800, were given prizes for academic excellence, sporting prowess, performing arts, personal achievement and contribution to the College.

The evening also included speeches from Head Girl Mia Richardson and Head Boy Felix Piasecki as well as a truly memorable performance from saxophonist Maxwell Lewis.

Presenting the awards was former Sir John Deane’s and County High School, Leftwich pupil, Dr Jordan Byrne, who closed the evening with an inspirational speech reflecting on his years studying medicine and his time at the college.

Principal Kerry Kirkwood said: “Congratulations to each and every one of our award winners, who represent all that we hold dear at Sir John Deane’s.

“I would also like to thanks parents, families and friends, whose love, faith and support underpins the success and achievements of all the winners.”
