Sir John Deane's celebrates students success
Sir John Deane’s recognised and celebrated the achievements of its Year 13 students during its annual awards evening on Thursday.
Prizes were given to individuals who have excelled academically, exhibited impressive sporting prowess as well as those who have overcome personal challenges and demonstrated exceptional resilience and drive.
The Saner Prize, for Student of the Year, went to Beatrice Lofthouse, (Bridgewater High School) who opened the evening with an inspiring speech reflecting on her two years at Sir John Deane’s.
The College also welcomed Julie Brandreth, retiring headteacher at The County High School, Leftwhich, who shared her words of wisdom with students as they embark on the next chapter of their lives.
Principal Kerry Kirkwood, said: “Thank you to all the parents, family and friends who joined us on a truly memorable evening and congratulations to all our outstanding students who received an award.”
