Students showcase musical talents

Exceptional young musicians showcased their impressive talents during a memorable evening of music on Thursday.

45 students performed in the College’s annual classical music soiree, which included a mix of solo and small ensemble performances, including music by Mozart, Debussy and Bach.

The chamber choir also performed classics including Fly me to the Moon and A Million Dreams while the student led brass ensemble wowed the audience with arrangements of Big Spender and Feel it Still.

Alison Richards, Head of Performing arts at the College, said: “Thank you to all our guests and of course our incredibly talented musicians on such an outstanding evening of music.

“It is an absolute joy to be able share the talents of all our performers at such a special event – they are a huge credit to the college and should all be very proud of their achievements.”

The next performing arts event to take place at the College will be the Spirit of Christmas concert on Wednesday 19th December, from 7pm.

Tickets cost £5/£4 concession (including seasonal refreshments) and can be purchased from the college reception.
