College supports Christmas appeal

Northwich in Need

Teachers and staff at Sir John Deane’s Sixth Form College have been donating gifts in support of the Helping Hands ‘Northwich in Need’ shoebox appeal this festive season.

Colleagues have donated a number of items, including toiletries, clothes, food packages and toys to give to the homeless, low income families and victims of domestic abuse in and around Northwich.

Deborah Murphy, receptionist at Sir John Deane’s, handed the items over to Dan Pendlebury from the group on Wednesday.

“I am completely overwhelmed at the generosity of everyone at Sir John Deane’s," said Deborah.

"I hope that our small contributions will help the Northwich in Need appeal and make a difference to people in our community facing difficult circumstances this Christmas.”

The group is working with a number of charitable organisations, including the British Legion, who will distribute packages over the Christmas period.

The appeal runs until December 15th.
