Students delight in musical soiree
Young musicians showcased their exceptional talents during a delightful evening of classical music.
The annual soiree, which took place in the College’s historic Brunner Hall on November 21st, saw musicians perform a mix of solo and small ensemble performances, including music by Beethoven and Britten along with modern classics from films such as Pirates of Caribbean and Grease.
The chamber choir also performed favourites including Barbara Ann and Let the River Run while the Jazz Quartet mesmerised with their own original arrangement.
Alison Richards, Director of Music at Sir John Deane’s, said: “Thank you to all our guests on what was an exceptional evening of classical music. The evening celebrated the highest calibre of performance in a feast of musical treats. Each and every one of our musicians should be incredibly proud.”
