Our students are simply outstanding. They are engaged, aspirational, highly motivated and embody our ideal attributes of curious, caring and responsible. Our students receive specialist guidance to support their choice of A level programme, setting them up for success at the College. Around 90% of A level students proceed to degree courses after they have left the College.
Our excellent reputation allows us to recruit from a wide range of 11-18 schools within and beyond Cheshire, from both the maintained and independent sectors. Half of our students progress from one of seven excellent and well respected partner high schools in the area.
Having such a high calibre of students means that colleagues are able to fully immerse themselves in their professional practice without the distraction of managing behavioural challenges.
Our colleagues tell us that they are proud to work at the college and truly see themselves as a community. Many former students apply to return to the college as employees in teaching, mentor and support roles. For us this is a fantastic endorsement of our nurturing environment.
An Outstanding Campus
Our £28 million campus, which elegantly combines state of the art modern facilities, with historic buildings, is a world-class learning environment which allows students and colleagues to thrive and is one which they are proud to call their own.
Each curriculum department benefits from purpose built classrooms with interactive touch screens and a dedicated staff room. Support departments have strategically located, dedicated offices which allow them to offer a professional service across the entire college.
Leisure facilities include a Sports Hall, astro pitch and boat house which are conveniently located within our beautifully maintained grounds. In addition to our cafeteria which offers varied and nutritious cuisine we have a deli bar and two café areas which provide Starbucks coffee and snacks.
The College is located in a beautiful and historic part of Cheshire, within the sought after “Kingsmead Estate” which boasts quality housing with access to excellent primary and secondary schools. Northwich Town Centre is a short walk away and has recently been developed and modernised, with consultation taking place for further development. The area benefits from excellent transport links to Manchester, Liverpool, Chester and Warrington.
Cheshire offers many attractions including the world famous Zoo, Oulton Park, historic Roman walls, beautiful castles and studding National Trust properties. Snowdon and the Peak District National Parks are also within easy reach.
