Enrolment 2022

New students, get ready for Year 12!

Please note, our admissions mailbox will not be monitored over the Bank Holiday weekend. If you need to contact us regarding an enrolment appointment, please be reassured that we will respond to your email on Tuesday morning.

Setting you up for academic success

To help you get off to a flying start, we invest time in setting all our students up for academic success, which begins at enrolment.

Enrolment is an important opportunity to formally celebrate your results and to acknowledge your achievements. Parents are actively encouraged to attend, as we recognise that they play a vital role in the success of students.

During your enrolment appointment, we will meet with both you and your parents / carers to discuss your subject choices and to confirm a programme of study.

Step One: GCSE Results Day, Thursday 25th August

  • On GCSE results day, Thursday 25th August, you must email a copy of your statement of GCSE results to GCSE@sjd.ac.uk by 1.00pm.
  • This is the official document you receive from your school listing all of your GCSE results. This should have your name and the school logo or name clearly visible.
  • A PDF, a scan or a clear photograph of your results statement taken on your phone will do.

Once we have your GCSE results we can confirm your place at the College.

Step Two: Your Enrolment Appointment

  • Step two of enrolment will take place from Tuesday 30th August to Thursday 1st September. We enrol over a three-day period in order that all families have the time and space to comfortably consider options.
  • We will send you an enrolment appointment via email / text by the end of Sunday 28th August.

Enrolment is an important opportunity to formally celebrate your results and to acknowledge your achievements. Parents are actively encouraged to attend, as we recognise that they play a vital role in the success of students.

During enrolment you will meet teachers to discuss your subject choices and to confirm a programme of study.

Two very important things you need for enrolment are:

  • £60 contribution fee which covers your two years at Sir John Deane’s
  • Proof of identity – preferably your passport, alternatively your birth certificate

Late Applications

The main window for applications to the College has now closed. However, we understand that there may be many late applications who would be well-suited to study at Sir John Deane’s.

We would encourage you to complete the online application if you still wish to be considered for a place at Sir John Deane’s. Your application will be dealt with as part of the Late Application process. You can find more details of this here.

If you are a late applicant, you should email  a copy of your statement of GCSE results to lateapplications@sjd.ac.uk by 1.00pm on Thursday 25th August.

The Senior Admissions Panel will give your application their full consideration as part of our late application process. We will aim to respond to you by Friday 2nd September.
