Enrolment 2021

Your next steps to becoming a Sir John Deane's student

We invest in setting our students up for academic success and this begins at enrolment.

We take time to work with students and parents in order to build a programme of study which will allow students to grow in confidence, to dream big and to become all we believe they can be.

Step One of enrolment involves you securing your place at Sir John Deane’s.

Step 1 – GCSE Results Day

On GCSE results day, Thursday 12 August, you must email your GCSE results to the College by 3.00 pm.  This should be an official document with your name and have the school logo or name clearly visible e.g. a PDF, a scan or a clear photograph of your results slip taken on your phone.  You will receive an email on Monday 9 August with clear instructions and an email address to submit your results.

Once we have your GCSE results we can confirm your place at the College.

Step 2 – Your Enrolment Appointment

Step 2 of enrolment will take place from Thursday 26 August.  We enrol over a three day period in order that all families have the time and space to comfortably consider options.

Enrolment is an important opportunity to formally celebrate your results and to acknowledge your achievements.  Parents are actively encouraged to attend, as we recognise that they play a vital role in the success of students.

During enrolment you will meet teachers to discuss your subject choices and to confirm a programme of study.  Two very important things you need for enrolment are:

  • £60 contribution fee which covers your two years at Sir John Deane’s
  • Proof of identity – preferably your passport, alternatively your birth certificate

In the meantime, whilst enjoying your summer break you may find it useful to explore the Sir John Deane’s Sixth Form College website. Here you will find lots of information to help you plan and prepare, including subject information, travel and bursary details and the start of term arrangements.  Please contact admissions@sjd.ac.uk if you have any questions.
