Professional Development

We are committed to ensuring that when all colleagues join the College they take part in a tailored induction programme New starters are supported throughout their first year and beyond with regular meetings, support and development sessions.

The College is committed to enhancing and supporting all colleagues’ professional development and is supportive of requests for development including training events and good practice visits. The college provides a centralised, engaging professional development programme that includes:

  • A structured induction programme for new starters to help them settle into their new role.
  • An annual performance and development review.
  • Support to develop in their chosen field and reach their full potential.
  • Opportunities across The Sir John Brunner Foundation Multi-Academy Trust.
  • Working closely with our Partner High Schools.

Dedicated professional development events take place across the academic year. Whilst the content and format of such events varies the College always encourages colleagues to get together to share and develop ideas.
