Head of Personnel

This varied role will involve managing the College’s HR function including recruitment, case management, professional development and equality and diversity. 

The ideal candidate will be a generalist who has prior experience working as a Business Partner or Personnel Manager.   Candidates must have strong communication skills and be confident taking a hands on approach within all aspects of HR - including supporting and guiding senior leaders. 

They must also possess knowledge of current UK employment legislation, have the ability to work autonomously and be CIPD qualified.

Supply Positions
 

The College is looking to extend its bank of supply staff that can be called upon for short term cover across the College. Applications are welcome for the following areas:

  • Supply teachers

Applications are welcome from highly skilled teachers who have prior teaching experience or who are newly qualified to work across all curriculum departments. Candidates must have a good degree and a teaching qualification.

  • Administrative Assistants

Working closely with other business support professionals within one of the College’s business support departments which may include the College Administrative Office, Reprographics or the Achievement and Progress department.

  • Mentors

Working with students individually, in small groups or in tutorial groups you will provide pastoral or learning support to students. Colleagues maybe based in the Library, Additional Learning Support or in the Achievement and Progress team.

  • Premises

Applications are invited for both cleaners and caretakers who will provide a high level of professional support across the College site.

Applications are invited from qualified Adult Education Tutors to teach any of the following subjects:
