Philippa Carrington
Co-opted Governor
I have spent the past 14 years working in Higher Education and am currently a Senior Lecturer and Programme Lead at the University of Law, having previously taught at the University of Manchester. This has given me strong insight into admissions processes and the transition students make from sixth form to university or other pathways. Earlier in my career, I practised as a solicitor and spent 10 years as Director of People and Business Support for an organisation providing educational services to young people aged 13–19.
I have extensive governance experience, having served as a Parent Governor at Offley Primary Academy for 10 years. As a local parent, I am keen to support students’ successful progression and contribute my experience to strengthen outcomes and student experience through effective governance.
